B-0001 without faucet - The B-0001 8225-170 is a great example of a freestanding tub with a modern exterior. Finished in white, and with a brushed nickel overflow, this could be a smart choice for people wanting to modernize their washroom.

Measuring 67 inches, it's not small either, providing bigger and taller people the necessary space to wash themselves without feeling closed in. The downside of this is that people with smaller bathrooms won't be able to install it. There are plenty of alternatives that are more compact though.

This model doesn't come with the faucet, so make sure you're aware of any additional expenses involved in getting this separately to the rest.

The sides are double walled for better insulation, keeping the water hot for longer, and it can hold up to 60 gallons of water, giving users a full body soak.

B-0034 Whirlpool - The B-0034 shares some similar features with the B-0001. It's stand alone, spacious and has a beautiful design. Visually, this is one of our favorites.

There are some important differences between them both. The most obvious of which is the built in whirlpool settinmgs that you can use to enhance your experience. Users will appreciate the jetted air, and body massage bubble settings. All in all there are ten different settings for body massage, and ten for bubble baths. All of which can be controlled by you.

The design itself has a S curve which is better for lumbar support and ensures you have a comfortable seated posture, relieving the body of stress and enabling you to relax.

It also gives plenty of room. Good news for taller users or those of you with longer legs. The dimensions are 71" by 31.5".

B-0020L - For those of you requiring an alcove installation, the B-0020L could be an option. Measuring 60 by 32 inches, this has an apron and is drop in installation style.

For those of you working with a lower budget, it's ideal. However, there are some drawbacks involved.

The first being that they sometimes hold less water than the larger, soaking models. In this particular case, it has the ability to hold 65 gallons, so it holds its own against the competition.

The second is that tall people may have their legs touching the end forcing them to bend their knees, having a negative effect on user comfort.

It's made in acrylic and highly glossed surface named enduraclean, which helps protect it from scratches, stains, and bacteria. It also helps make cleaning simpler and more effective.

Other considerations before you buy

Hydrotherapy - You can choose to bring spa like treatment to the comfort of your own home through various hydrotherapy features. Each individual brand brings something different to the table, some will have bubble massages, others will use sound to provide a more relaxing experience. These can be categorized as sound vibration or whirpool baths.

However, with these extra innovations, you can expect them to be mpore expensive than your average tub.

Type - You should be thinking about the type and style you require that will most suit your bathrooms shape ans size. Alcove, and freestanding are just a couple of examples of these. Make sure you ana;yze all options available to you before you make a decision to buy anything.

Brands - There is plenty of competition on the market. A few examples of brands that we believe are market leaders include American Standard, Kohler, and Sterling. That doesn't mean you can't find some hidden gems among the smaller names. As a general rule however, we recommend sticking to well known manufacturers as they have the reputation behind them, and a number of products that have been tried and tested by the masses. This is a better indication of reliability.

Gallons - Are you happy with a shallow tub that gets the job done and is more affordable, or would you prefer a full body, soaking experience? These are questions you should be asking yourself before you make a purchase. Width and length tells one part of a products story, but you should also be looking into how many gallons it holds and depth.

Lighting - You also have the option for various lighting to be included, to set the mood. This is known as chromatherapy, and can have a positive impact on your mind after a long day at work.

Consumer reports - Before you buy anything, you should look at what customers are saying about the product. Sort through each of the comments, looking for any similar complaints regarding defects.
